Reclip — Privacy Policy

Overview

Reclip is a personal social library app that helps you save, organize, and rediscover content from Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X.

Data Collection

Reclip does NOT collect any personal data. All data is stored locally on your device only.

• No account registration required
• No analytics or tracking
• No data sent to any server
• No advertising SDKs that collect personal data

Crash Reporting

Reclip uses Sentry for crash reporting only. Sentry collects:

• Crash logs and stack traces (to help fix bugs)
• Device model and OS version (for compatibility debugging)
• App version (to track which version has issues)

Sentry does NOT collect:

• Your saved URLs, notes, or any content
• Your identity or personal information
• Your browsing history

Crash data is anonymous and used solely for improving app stability.

Data Storage

All saved content (URLs, notes, tags, collections) is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it using the Backup feature.

Backup & Restore

The Backup feature creates a JSON file containing your saved data. This file is shared only through your chosen method (Google Drive, email, etc.) and is not uploaded to any server.

Permissions

Reclip requires the following permissions:

• Internet — To fetch metadata (titles, thumbnails) for saved URLs and to open original content in your browser
• Network State — To detect offline status and show appropriate indicators

Third-Party Services

• Sentry (sentry.io) — Crash reporting only. No personal data collected.
• Google AdMob — Serves advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and advertising data per Google's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

Reclip does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. Since no personal data is collected at all, this policy applies to all users regardless of age.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be available in the app and on this page.
