1. Introduction
Haiba Software (haibasoftware@gmail.com) built the Android application Your Words (package com.quotewidget.quotewidget, “the app”) as an offline-first app. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use the app, and the choices you have associated with that data.
By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. What We Do NOT Collect
The app is designed to keep your content on your device:
- No account required — we do not collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers.
- No server-side storage — your quotes, collections, notes, and settings are stored only on your device (local database + local backups you create yourself).
- No advertising identifier collection by us — we never receive or store a copy of your advertising ID.
- No location data is requested or used.
3. Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party services, which have their own privacy policies and may process limited data as described by them:
- Google AdMob (Google LLC) — the app is ad-supported. Ads are served by Google, which may use device identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Settings → Google → Ads on your device. Google's policy: policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Google Play Services (Google LLC) — standard Android platform services required for the app to run.
- Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) — when the app crashes, a crash report is sent to Sentry so we can fix bugs. Reports may contain the stack trace, app version, device model, and OS version. Sentry's policy: sentry.io/privacy
4. Permissions
- Internet — required to load ads and send crash reports.
- Network state — used to check connectivity before loading ads.
The app does not request access to your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location.
5. Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
6. Data Deletion
Because all of your content is stored locally, uninstalling the app removes all of your data from your device. Crash reports already sent to Sentry are retained per Sentry's retention policy. If you have any other deletion request, contact us by email.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates are published on this page with a revised “last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
