Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Prompt Template Manager ("we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use the app on your mobile device.
By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Overview
Prompt Template Manager is a personal prompt template library app. Its core purpose is to let you store, search, fill in, and copy reusable AI prompts.
The app is designed to be 100% on-device:
- No account. You do not need to sign up or log in.
- No backend. There is no server, database, or cloud storage operated by us.
- No cloud sync. Your data never leaves your device except for actions you explicitly initiate (see Section 4).
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information ourselves.
The app has no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting backend, and no telemetry. We have no ability to see, access, or retrieve the prompts, titles, or any other content you store in the app.
Data stored on your device
All of the data you create lives only on your device in the app's local database:
- Your prompt templates (title, content, category, tags)
- Usage history (how often and when a template was used)
- Favorites and app preferences (e.g., whether a one-time tip or onboarding step has been shown)
This data is used solely to make the app work — e.g., to show your library, power search, and rank recently used templates. It is never sent to us or to any third party (with the single exception described in Section 4).
You can delete all of this data at any time by deleting the app from your device.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app displays ads served by Google AdMob (react-native-google-mobile-ads).
- The app requests non-personalized ads only (
requestNonPersonalizedAdsOnly: true). This means ads are not targeted to you based on your browsing history, interests, or profile. - AdMob, as a third party, may use device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID / iOS Advertising Identifier, IP address, and general device information) to serve and measure ads, prevent fraud, and limit how often you see an ad. How Google processes this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob's policies.
- In certain regions (e.g., EEA, UK), you may be shown a consent screen provided by Google before ads are served.
- Because the app uses non-personalized ads, it does not use your data for personalized advertising and does not share personal data with advertisers for targeting purposes.
To learn more about advertising identifiers and how to control them:
- Android: Google Play settings → Ads, or the device's advertising ID settings ("Delete advertising ID" / "Reset advertising ID").
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and "Limit Ad Tracking".
4. Import and Export
The app lets you back up your library to a JSON file and restore from one.
- Export: When you tap "Export", the app writes a JSON file to your device's storage (or shares it via the system share sheet). The content of that file is your prompt library. Where you send or save that file is entirely your choice.
- Import: When you import a JSON file, the file is read directly from your device. On the web version, the file is read locally in your browser and is not uploaded to any server.
These actions are always user-initiated and never automatic.
5. Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, there is no children's data for us to collect.
6. Data Security
Since your data never leaves your device, there is no data to secure in transit or at rest on our side. The security of the data on your device is protected by your device's own security (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We recommend enabling your device's built-in security features to protect your on-device data.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to make the new policy prominent (for example, by updating the app's store listing or the published policy page). We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
