This Privacy Policy describes how LoopTimer – Interval Timer ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and handles information when you use our mobile application.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
LoopTimer is an offline-first interval timer app. Its core features — timers, presets, routines, weekly goals, statistics, and custom sounds — work entirely on your device and do not require an account, a login, or an internet connection.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information (PII) through the App's own features.
The App integrates third-party services — Google AdMob (advertising) and Google Firebase (analytics and crash reporting) — which may process limited device-level data as described below.
All app content and your personal configuration are stored only on your device:
This data never leaves your device. Deleting the App removes it.
When you use the App, Firebase Analytics may collect anonymous, aggregated usage events to help us understand how the App is used and improve it. Examples include:
These events do not include your name, email, or any data that identifies you personally. They are used in aggregate for product improvement.
If the App crashes, Crashlytics may collect technical information to help us fix the problem, including:
Crash reports do not contain your personal data.
The App is free and supported by advertising. AdMob may collect:
Consent: Before ads are personalized, the App shows a Google UMP (User Messaging Platform) consent screen and only requests the Advertising ID after you grant consent. You can:
You can review or change your choice at any time from the App's Settings → Privacy options. On iOS, the App also respects the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.
The App may download non-personal configuration values (such as feature flags and timing limits) from Firebase Remote Config. This does not involve your personal data.
We use the information described above to:
We do not use your data for any purpose other than those described in this policy.
The App uses the following third-party services. Their processing of your data is governed by their own privacy policies:
| Service | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Advertising | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Firebase Analytics | Anonymous usage analytics | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash reporting | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Firebase Remote Config | Remote configuration | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
Google's advertising privacy controls are available at: https://adssettings.google.com
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR in the EU/EEA, CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to:
To change or withdraw your ad consent within the App: Settings → Privacy options.
We take reasonable measures to protect information. Because the App is offline-first and does not transmit your personal data, the primary security risk surface is limited to third-party SDKs (advertising, analytics), which are managed by Google under its own security standards.
The App declares the following permissions, used strictly for the described purpose:
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Notifications / Exact alarms | Run timers and scheduled routines accurately, even in the background |
| Foreground service | Keep the timer running reliably while the App is in the background |
| Boot completed | Restore scheduled routine reminders after a device restart |
| Document/audio file access | Import your own sound files for custom timer alerts (files are chosen by you and stored locally — the App does not record audio) |
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, within the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
